Did you know that Target has been in business for over 50 years now? Well, they have, and they are one of the most popular retail chains in the entire world! And regardless of their popularity, they still drive to be one of the leaders that provides quality products at a great price to their customers.
It used to be that Target just sold normal household items, but it recent times, they’ve moved into so many different areas like selling groceries, health care items, furniture, and many other things. They even have great retail partners like D’Amico and Sons, and Starbucks! Their grocery section carries a number of the most popular leading food brands, and they even have their own line, Archer Farms, that provides great value without sacrificing quality. And even in all of their popularity, they haven’t forgot about what great customer service is; they still hold true to this value and accommodate customers whenever necessary. One of the services that they’ve introduced to help make things more convenient to customers are gift cards.
What are Target gift cards all about?
Well, that’s a broad question, but one that is worth answering at length. Target has sold gift cards for quite some time now, and they are making them better and better as time goes on. For starters, the Target gift cards are available in any dollar amount from $5 to a whopping $1000 dollars. Can you imagine all the awesome things that you could buy at Target with $1000 dollars to spend? You could go on a crazy shopping spree to say the least!
In addition to allowing customers to choose from a wide variety of dollar amounts, Target has become famous for their gift card designs. They have a new design for almost every holiday and season imaginable. During Christmas, their gift cards have great holiday images like snowmen, snowflakes, and other really neat designs! One of their classic gift card designs is the Target mascot, Spot, with the iconic Target bullseye drawn in around his eye.
How can I get a Target gift card?
It’s so easy you won’t believe it! Obviously, you can always purchase a Target gift card in the store, but did you know that you can also buy Target gift cards online? Yep, it’s true! You don’t even need to leave your home to purchase a Target gift card. While most people opt to purchase them in-store, Target’s made it easy to buy them online for customers who have busy lifestyles and don’t always make it into the store.
If you do choose to buy one in-store, all you need to do is find one that you like (they are usually located near the front registers) and then tell your cashier how much you want on the card. Once you do, they’ll take your payment. When your payment goes through, they’ll activate the card, and then you’re done! All you need to do next is decide where you want to spend it! Or who you want to give it to!

What about checking my Target gift card balance?’
With Target being a major retailer, you can rest assured that they’ve thought about everything ahead of time! They’ve made it super easy, as there are three ways that you can check your Target gift card balance.
The first way that you can check your Target gift card balance is by going to the store and having a cashier run it through the register. When they do this, they’ll be able to tell your exactly (down to the cents) how much money is on your gift card. And you can also check your gift card balance at the customer service counter. If you see that the lines are long, just walk up to the customer service counter and ask the employee working the counter if they can quickly check your balance.
The second way that you can check your Target gift card balance is online. They’ve made this super easy, and all you need to do is visit their gift card page and enter in your information, then you can see your balance and purchase history.
The third and final way that you can check the balance on your Target gift card is by calling the gift card customer service phone number. This number is 1-800-544-2943, and it’s available at any time. All you need to do is call and enter your gift card information, and you’ll be able hear your gift card balance over the telephone.
What do I do if I lose my gift card or it gets stolen?
This is a bad situation, and it’s something that you want to avoid if possible, but it does happen, so it’s something that you need to be prepared for. If you have registered your Target gift card in your name, you’ll be able to have Target customer service cancel the balance on the gift card and issue you a new one. However, if you haven’t registered your gift card, there is nothing that they can do to help you. The reason for this is that you could potentially obtain the number of someone else’s gift card, and then cancel it and have a gift card re-issued to you if this policy wasn’t in place. Although it can seem frustrating, the policy is there to protect you and your gift card balance.
One of the best things that you can do to keep your gift card safe is put it in a safe place such as your wallet, purse, or a safe place inside your home. This way, you’ll always know where the card is and be able to access when you need it.
